We chose Hendall Manor Barns, which is a stunning local venue in Uckfield, near to where we live.

We wanted modern and sophisticated as well as romantic, elegant and fun. We wanted to contrast the rustic barn setting with clean & modern decor so we had disco balls, cocktail welcome drinks, fine dining and a young, fresh band.

We love live music and the energy it brings. We were looking for a band that reflected our music taste, with soul and R&B along with modern pop. We wanted a group that were fresh and as far from cheese as possible.

Scrolling through the set list for The Runaways, we had 90% of the songs already saved in our own playlists and once we heard their demo, we knew the band would bring the fresh vibe we were after.

Obviously marring my best friend comes first - but walking into the room for the wedding breakfast with everyone cheering in a room filled with love and joy was so special. The band were by far the highlight of the evening!

We found Function Central when searching for wedding bands. It was easy to scroll, search and filter the bands. Their transparent booking prices are much appreciated and the booking team were swift and efficient in responding and booking was easy and straight forward.

For a wedding I think it needs to be personal. Find a band that reflects your taste in music. An act that you could see yourself having a drink with and then you know their performance will connect with you and all your guests.
